Re: Fairland Non-Renews Coach Wilcoxon

I find the notion that the Fairland school board would hold non-renewal over a coach's head to be very interesting. I was talking to some school board members I know from another district, and they said that they more or less give thumbs-up or thumbs down to the recommendations of the district's adm...

Re: Has anything been done at River Valley?

red, are you implying that there is a bomb somewhere?

Do you have some hidden knowledge that we don't? Are you implying that there is a coaching candidate who wants to go to the long passing game (the long bomb)?

Re: Wheelersburg's New Football Coach

If you are too close to home, you have to deal with too many old biases, and those can be really hard on a hometown boy.

Re: KCU Committs (local players)

I am always glad to see small schools close by add sports programs.

Now if Rio Grande and Shawnee would just get around to starting football and Rio would make wrestling a varsity sport, we would be set.

Re: OVC Changes?

Maybe if cost go up enough, there won't be high school sports anymore.

It will have to be like Europe where many sports are played as club teams.

Then what would we all have to talk about?

I think that the SG band has a bright future folks.

The new director is a tough lady, a lot tougher cookie than those other band directors you say have been "run off."

She's pretty hard core with that oboe, people.

Re: Jackson AD job

Many of those other SEOAL athletic directors had millions of years experience in the educational system. That accounts for their pay rates.

Snyder was given that rate with no years in the educational system...

I remember playing against a girl in junior high... she played DT across from me.

Pass blocking was awkward.

Raiderball and mtswngrvsg have done their homework.

South Gallia and Symmes, while they have had some success, would not fare well against a full schedule of OVC teams.

Re: Saving the SEOAL

Somebody up above on here pointed out the major reason why few SE teams are perched in the Final Four in all sports every year, and it is because the most we can get out through the regional is one. The tourneys are set up so that only one team from SE can possibly get out of the region, and they wi...

Re: I Think JACKSON should get powerlifting at there school.

Powerlifting is a great addition to a school program.

It gives kids something quantifiable with their lifting, and anybody (boys/girls, football/non-football) can benefit from the training.

GET HUGE!!!!
