What are the rules for little league players playing on travel teams? Are there any participation limits? Eligibility for All Stars?

Probably looking at Jack Hannahan to take up one of those spots, but he will begin the season on the DL. Probably the other goes to Ramon Santiago because he can play SS. With Hannahan hurt, probably Neftali Soto gets the nod.

I think Coach Ater has to be recognized at this point. Getting to the Regionals in his first year with a crew of kids that many wrote off before and during the season shows something. Hard work by the kids and the coaches pays off.

The potato salad is excellent just like the shootout. I also heard that on any given day you can catch Jeremy Newman at SV signing free autographs for select kids. Rumor has it that he uses these neat triplicate forms that they take home to show their parents. True?

Don't know about the time frame, but Ceredo Kenova Community Center has a Spring/Summer league that runs from April to June. My 3rd grader played there last year and will again this year. Great league, great people.

I bet a lot of schools don't want any part of Wayne. Year end and year out they have outstanding teams. They have as good of a tradition as anyone and chances are you're looking at an "L" when you head "out Wayne"
