Lady Pirates play Magnolia Sandy Valley tomorrow at Lancaster at noon. Sandy Valley has a really solid team. Finished regular season ranked #6 in the poll and knocked off Westfall to get here. Burg over Portsmouth in first game Saturday.

Portsmouth won their game. I'm unsure about the other but I would think Webster was able to take care of business.

D3 and D6 are stacked. Whoever takes those championships will have worked through it no doubt.

Tourney at South Webster:

8th Grade- Wheelersburg over Northwest and Minford over Notre Dame.

7th Grade- West over Northwest and South Webster over Wheelersburg in OT.

I would say Burg and Garaway got the toughest draws of the top 4 seeds. Much rather see Ironton or Zane Trace in 1st round. Ridgewood will be a test no doubt come Saturday night.

3 errors leading to 4 unearned runs for the Hawks. Facing a pitcher like this means you have to play mistake free baseball and the Pirates haven't been able to do that.

What is the report about this pitcher? Jr. Sr. Lefty/Righty, 80's? Heard a few things but thought you might have more specifics.

Probably the best pitcher our boys have seen this year. Hasn't given up an earned run all season from what I have been told. As always this time of year, have to manufacture one or two and have solid pitching and defense.

Burg 10-0 over Piketon. Piketon right fielder had a nasty collision with center fielder and hurt her ankle. Hopefully the young lady is ok.

Burg 8-5 over Minford. Falcons jumped out early 5-2 but couldn't hang on. Pirates earn at least a share of 12th straight SOC championship. One more conference win and its another outright title.
