Has anyone ever coached football and basketball same yeAr? (Head coach)
I played for a head coach back in the early 70's that was head coach from 67-74 in all 3 major sports (football, basketball and baseball). You don't see that anymore. :D

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)

With ball control, timely passing to keep Wood off balance and max 2 turnovers on offense Ironton will win this game with their defense. Ridgewood not as physical but force a lot of turnovers and fly to the ball on defense and the young QB is a very accurate passer and shifty when running. Ridgewood...

Re: REGIONAL FINALS (TOO MUCH MADE OUT OF SEEDING "UPSETS")

A lot of people like to talk about upsets in the first couple of rounds per computer rankings & seeds yearly as it should be but those are just numbers that don't figure in competitiveness, history, real strength (leagues) and the athletic culture which can't be measured by numbers alone. There are...

Upper Arlington has the largest seating capacity (11,500) of the high schools here in c-bus (sits just across 315 from OSU). They've hosted many playoff games up thru today and a few championship games long ago much like Groveport did in the 70's -80's in Central Ohio. Groveport just built a new hi...

Re: REGIONAL FINALS (TOO MUCH MADE OUT OF SEEDING "UPSETS")

No no no, you sound like one of those kids I have to chase off my lawn. Everyone knows the playoffs were better when only one team per state made the playoffs and they played each other in a biannual bowl game held every even numbered year ending in 5. You kids with your fancy book learning try to ...

Re: Week 12: 3. Waverly (9-2) vs 7. Bloom Carroll (9-2)

The team with the most speed and quickness usually wins. Bloom Carroll was by far the most athletic team Waverly faced all season. Boy did they close fast on defense. A really nice season for Waverly. This team overcame a fair amount of adversity and they sure were fun to watch. Going to miss the s...

Cough cough *** Newark Catholic 120+ Kids —> competitive balance? No worries ... Drop that number to 85 right quick and still have 40+ on the football team.
It doesn’t mean they have 85 boys in the entire school, at all.
NC squeaked by Slim Shady tonight by 40

Not if you can control your enrollment numbers and it’s beneficial to your divisional assignment by keeping those numbers low 😉
Never goes above student /teacher ratio of 15 to 1. They pick and choose.
