Let me say respectfully there won’t be any bigger “HIM” performance than sophomore Zaiden Wittekind of Marietta in the Tigers huge win on the road at Warren. Others will have more to say but he scored 22 of his team’s 49 points and did a lot of other things to help Marietta tough out the win.

Impressed with Marietta’s grit. Coaching defensive strategy by Gardner et al except for a few lapses (several in the 4th period) was huge. Candidly I expected a comfortable margin win for Warren in this one (by 10 or 12 points). Tigers haven’t been very good for a couple weeks. Marietta 13 8 12 16 ...

Massive performance by the soph Wittekind. Gave Mtta a big lift offensively when other guys couldnt get going. Think he finished around 16 to 18 pts.

I think Wittekind might have had 22. He was very tough. Tigers had too many turnovers but fought through those.
