Re: Saturday,1/28/23 games and scores
Dang. That’s 2 of 3 games Valley has led 80%+ of the game and couldn’t close it out. Scheduling and drive would definitely be difficult, though. I think with the style that the Indians play, against good teams that style may hurt them to close games out. They score very quickly in the games that I'...

Re: SW @ Minford 1/27/23
Minford is good. They have length, a scoring guard that can give score 20+ any given night. They have a good shot at making at making the regional finals.

Re: Notre Dame looking for new head coach…
Pendleton would be the best hire. ND really needs to push for this. Younger coach, who is full of energy but we will see.

Re: CURRANT BASKETBALL CLIMATE
I also think AAU has caused issues with kids not playing outdoors. AAU is so watered down now that EVERYBODY can play, just give us money. Back then only top guys played AAU therefore, others had to play outside to improve their game. I see kids all the time posting state champs and going to nationa...

Re: Tuesday,1/03/23 games and scores
Also, are we just reacting to the score of the NB game? NB has been their best win, so the jury is still out against them. I agree, they play much better at home so we will see Friday @ Green.

Re: Tuesday,1/03/23 games and scores
ND might win the league but I think they'll lose one or two league games this year. It is still a tough and deep league. Most likely, they will lose a couple road games. They play much better at home than they do on the road. As good as those ND post players are they don't run the floor that well. ...

Re: Tuesday,1/03/23 games and scores
I completely agree. Long season. I do think if ND played NW a 2nd time, then ND would win. It was ND 2nd game of the season with young guards who were not used to the physical guard play. Looking forward to how they stack up with SW next Saturday the 14th. I think SW wins by 10+.

Re: Tuesday,1/03/23 games and scores
Very long season ahead. Titans have some tough road games ahead of them plus still have meeting with Western, Green, St Joe. ND size inside with Carter, Sparks, and Metzler is tough to handle for SOC I. Not a lot of teams can match their size down low. Metzler provides a nightmare match up due to hi...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 22-23 Basketball
My thing is, even the ones that play their fundamentals are terrible. So you can't blame the kids when they aren't being taught the proper fundamentals as a youth.

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 22-23 Basketball
I do agree with almost everything your saying Dave. If your team is not good at ball handling then that leads for a disaster. As a coach you can only do so much but when the kids who are on the jhigh basketball team or biddy ball team, are they being taught the correct things. Such as midline, deny,...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 22-23 Basketball
What i was asking is why is there no development at the lower levels? Watching their JV was horrible. These kids had no fundamentals, completely lost on the offensive end and no defense at all. No reason why Portsmouth should only have 1 Junior High Team. Who is in charge of the biddy ball system?

Re: Wednesday 12/28 Games/Updates/Finals
Eastern Pike is very tricky. They beat Valley, Burg, and Western but then lose to two of the worse teams in the SOC II Oak Hill & Waverly. When Eastern is hitting they are tough to beat. Interested to see how they do in 2nd half of season. I am glad to see Eastern has been playing well and hopef...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 22-23 Basketball
Is there any development with the younger trojans such as JV, Jhigh, or Biddy ball? JV is really struggling and I mean struggling. I am not seeing the Trojans being competitive for quite awhile.
