Re: Moellar vs Lokata East link: Ironton is not gonna be able to move the ball
HOlD on a minute. Ironton DOES PLAY BEFORE THOUSANDS of people in a very nice stadium that seats 5,200. There are easily well over 6,000 people in Tank for games like the first one against Wheelersburg. We take in a very nice gate from teams like Ashland, Wheelersburg and Jackson. The Ironton progr...

False. Those schools do not have the D1 recruits Ironton had/has, yet both schools have and will continue to wipe the field with Ironton. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cleveland.com/highschoolsports/2020/11/a-tale-of-an-ohio-state-commit-and-kirtlands-underrecruited-mason-sullivan-ohsaa-state-fo...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Chilli_Dog_614… I have no idea what South Charleston has to do with this argument. We were talking about Kirtland’s talent versus Ironton’s. As for getting out, I don’t live in southeastern Ohio, and I am no Ironton fan. But I do respect their program and have noticed the players they put into majo...

Re: Cincinnati Moeller @ Ironton in the Tank
Don’t think Moeller can blow them out.Moeller in the present is nothing like the past. Moeller can absolutely blow them out. Their offense is very explosive, capable of running or passing for 300+ yards against Ironton. This isn’t the Moeller of the 1970’s, but Moeller has still won two state title...

Re: Moellar vs Lokata East link: Ironton is not gonna be able to move the ball
Lol I doubt that. No offense to ironton but moeller plays in huge stadiums with thousands of people. To small town Ohio the gate will be nice and a rare chance to see a huge school. HOlD on a minute. Ironton DOES PLAY BEFORE THOUSANDS of people in a very nice stadium that seats 5,200. There are eas...

Re: Cincinnati Moeller @ Ironton in the Tank
I hope ironton goes to moeller best year. I’m not a fan of either but I’ll drive there to check out moellers field Moeller doesn’t have a “home” stadium. They have been trying to build one on their campus but local zoning laws have prevented that. They play their home games this year at Norwood She...

Re: Moellar vs Lokata East link: Ironton is not gonna be able to move the ball
Give them TIGERS credit for taking on the challenge!!!! You only get better by playing teams better than you..... Big step up for Ironton program, shows there not scared to put the pads on hit with a bigger, better team. Definitely credit for taking such a challenge, but this is a bit much. Cincinn...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Loaded w d1 recruits? Loaded? Again you're not understanding. Your isolated examples or perception of loaded does not equate it to an absolute. You are exaggerating. We only have these two games to compare Kirtland against Ironton. In those two meetings, Kirtland had zero D1 recruits, Ironton had f...

And before you do, remember, subjective examples do not equate to final absolute conclusions. Resumbmit your findings. You made a claim with no proof or evidence to back it up. Just pulled it out of thin air. I give you three games that contradict your “made-up” claim and now you question the proof...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Logical fallacy. 1 example is not a universal absolute. How many examples do you need? The Kirtland team that beat Ironton in the first match had no D1 athletes. The Coldwater team that thumped Burg in the state semis had no D1 prospects, and their best play only had one small school offer. I can c...

Re: Week 3 Fairland @ Ironton
Burg 2017...didn't have to play Kirtland or any MAC school. Otherwise, they wouldn't have won the title. They were VERY lucky in regard to who they had to play in the playoffs that year. I question you’re knowledge of football. Either that or you didn’t follow them or just want to throw shade to bu...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
The ( burg) staff needs to get younger. More acclimated to the game and interests and what attracts athletes in 2021 instead of 1994. Disagree. They win games. Plus tiger Laverde and chip from cold water aren’t young pups Better talent at those schools per man False. Those schools do not have the D...

Re: Moellar vs Lokata East link: Ironton is not gonna be able to move the ball
Probably going to be about like Bishop Sycamore playing IMG the other day!!! I can’t believe Moeller even took this game. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose. One, Moeller has to fill a schedule. For them, that is not easy to do. Hence they play teams from Cleveland, Michigan, Indianap...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Burg posters, you are making yourselves look stupid. Ironton B_ _ _ _ slapped you for the majority of 40 years and you refuse to recognize it. If it it weren't for a very weak coaching regime, it would be even worse. And it's only going to get worse... Last state championship was won by the burg. J...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Why all the debate about transfers, etc? This is common everywhere; just ask public schools in Cincy that get raped and pillaged by the catholic schools! At the end of the day, all that matters is wins/losses. And those wins count equally regardless of the number of transfers to achieve said wins. D...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Burg just came off an impressive run unlike any run in their history, so looking at the future against that is probably not a fair comparison. That said, this year’s Burg team has a very small senior class (numbers wise). This has forced many sophomores into varsity than Burg would normally play, h...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Remove Trimble and Wheelersburg from this list and yes. Remove Wheelersburg? They are the only team on this list to win a state title this century. Ironton is the only other school on this list to have any football state titles. Having a top five all-time winning percentage (all Ohio schools) also ...

Re: Ironton, Trimble, Waverly, Wheelersburg, Jackson on another level
Hey, I didn't make that declaration lightly. I see the program taking a downward spiral, badly! Now, whether it will be a whole decade or not? I cannot say? Ironton's JV just wore them out...the 7th did as well. There is a bright spot in Burg's 8th grade though. 2017 is four years ago..not the futu...
