I agree! His daughter is a senior this year at Portsmouth ND. So maybe he'd be open to moving after she graduates.
If not Ashley, I'd like to see Frank Blake get a shot at it.

Re: D7R27 #11 Beallsville @ #6 Notre Dame

I think in d7, only 8 teams should get in. Why just D7? There are lopsided matchups in all divisions. Even some winless teams or 1 win teams getting into the playoffs in D1. Did you know that in division 1 there are only 7 teams in the state that DON"T make the playoffs? That's absurd! 16 is d...

Re: September 29, 2023 Green 0 - 72 Notre Dame

"Games matters and points matter for playoffs and everybody knows it." Hey BillyBob...you are 100% wrong with this statement. Points scored and margin of victory have zero effect on playoffs. Winning by 1 or winning by 72 is essentially the same thing in terms of seeding. The only thing th...

Re: Week 5: Meigs @ River Valley

This is not a shot at RV but Meigs should win by a whole bunch. RV is really struggling right now. Last week against NY the running clock started with 6 or 7 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. Hopefully both teams can just get out without any injuries. OHSAA rule state that the running clock doesn't...

FC did not play their best game last week. Maybe their best half (first half), but the second half was atrocious. Multiple INT's thrown on offense and awful tackling on defense.

Re: WK8 Bloom-Carroll - Logan Elm

Both of these teams lost the opening game of the season before reeling off 6 straight wins to enter this game at 6-1. Although just week 8, the winner of this game will likely be the Mid-State League Buckeye Division Champion. You can watch this game live on the 'CLN - Your Hometown Connection' You...

Re: Week 11: R27 #12 Fisher @ #5 Trimble

Here we go with the ignorant and stale "recruiting" talk. I can't speak for any private school except for FC but I can tell you wholeheartedly 100% that Fisher Catholic does not "recruit". If they did, they'd have more than 22 players on their football team and they wouldn't be s...

Re: Week 11: R27 #12 Fisher @ #5 Trimble

How could anyone forget? From finding out FC got videos of all 10 games and scouting reports from one of our opponents to the FC people bragging that they had the better team that night and the Cats just got lucky. Yeah, FC will have their brakes beaten off of them this time. There'll be no way any...

Re: 2018-19 Logan Chieftains

Saw Logan play at Lancaster this week. Was impressed with this team. Yes Myers is very good and once again led the Chieftains in scoring (26), but there's much more to them than just him. This is an all-around talented team and you can't 'slack off' on anyone in order to double up on Myers. Lancaste...

He was the first coach and came back to coach his son late 90's. Did Mick Childs coach for a short time? [/quote] Mick Childs was definitely the head coach at one point. Not sure how long but I think it was around 1987, 88, 89 time frame that he was the coach. Meigs Local teachers went on strike in ...
