Re: Waverly Basketball - Head Coach

I agree with you. The class that went to the final four really made the basketball job a job to have, now it's not a boom job. Being D2 and playing in the SOC is not a good combination unless you have a good non conference schedule to prepare you for the tournament. Waverly should have a lot more S...

Re: Waverly Basketball - Head Coach

I haven’t been on here for the past couple days and there is still a lot of speculation with this position. There has been a lot of names mentioned but there doesn’t seem to be much interest from those people. For me they might have to target somebody that values Waverly as something special. I thi...

Re: Biggest Tournament Upsets

The Northwest Mohawks upset a top ten ranked Waverly in the first round of the AA sectionals at Lucasville. The year was possibly 1974 and the final score escapes me. Annotation 2022-02-08 124607.jpg That be it transplant. Great find. Even though Coach Hawhee was at the helm for 4 years after that,...

Re: Waverly at Oak Hill Tuesday 02/08

I wonder if Travis will turn Trey loose to shoot for a single game scoring record one of these last games before the tourney. I believe his career high is 36 or 38 possibly. He's truly an unselfish player.

Getting anxious to get this season underway! For those at the Piketon scrimmage, how did the supporting cast look? Specifically Stulley, Will, and Morrison? Supporting cast looked good for pre season form. Stulley is as solid as ever. Can handle the ball and run the offense extemely well and can sc...

Re: Round 2 Region 16 Waverly at Massie

I really feel like it's important for the Tigers to get the lead in this game. If we can force them to put the ball in the air more than they want to, I think our defense can get off the field enough to make it happen. And, as it goes without saying, I don't think we can afford ANY turnovers tomorr...

Don’t understand those calls. You’re not outsmarting Burg by calling that.

Re: Week 8: Wheelersburg vs Waverly

The legend goes a former Waverly coach , Rest In Peace, came down in a limo believing he would leave victorious back in the mid 90s. Really? LOL. Hilarious if that's part of Wheelersburg lore. It’s actually true. Lol LOL @OldschoolQB13 would know if it was. I'm not exactly a Waverly football inside...
