Seeding was due last night by midnight, so unfortunately, today's win will have no impact on their seed. Great win though.

Right, but votes aren't submitted until tonight, so hopefully teams will keep an eye on how other teams finish the week before they vote.

Kinda seems like a waste of a night to not get an official result. Teams should find a time to finish up the game. Could be big come tournament draw time.

Heard Athens scrimmaged Eastern Friday. Not sure how it turned out.

Say what you want about Howie but he can coach. Wasn't it Africentric that knocked his eastern team out of the regionals (or state semis?) back in the mid 2000's?

sounds like meigs is the team to beat. will their hitting be able to keep up with their pitching? last year it seemed like they relied mostly on pitching to get them through tournament play.

One of my favorite memories of Zach.. I was coaching JV baseball for Alexander.. We traveled to Piketon and were in a pretty tight game.. Zach was warming up off to the side in a bullpen.. He was throwing gas and I instantly knew it was game over if they brought him in the game.. He was wearing base...

So have they hired a new coach yet?

Tomcats also playing today at the same time, I think.. Would have been tough to choose between the two games, I'd say.
