Re: Question

I don't think you can edit averages in game changer, but if all teams would use it, it would be easy to compare. If there was a discrepancy it could be questioned.

Re: Question

That's why I mentioned the play by play on game changer. You can't really reward a player with a hit when they got out because it's going to mess the entire game and scoring up. That's why I feel like game changer is the most fair and accurate way to keep stats. All teams should use it and it would ...

Re: 2019 SOC 1

We don't only see these issues with parent coaches. Over the years, I have see more favoritism by coaches who don't have kids on the team. You would think that a coaches favorite players would be those who are the best players that are the most committed and work the hardest at that sport but that i...

Re: Question

Game changer is the best and most accurate way to keep stats. It keeps a play by play of each game and tallies up any stat you can possibly think of. Main reason I like it is that it does the stats for you so there's really no errors in stats and no way a players batting average or ERA, for example,...

Re: 2 Quarter JV Girls Basketball Games Are Back, Along With Low Numbers

My point is, the 6-7 girls who you know won't see one second of varsity time should be the kids playing in the JV game, especially when there are only 2 quarters. Your varsity players should not be playing in that JV game. Last year, I watched a varsity starter play a whole quarter of every JV game ...

Re: 2 Quarter JV Girls Basketball Games Are Back, Along With Low Numbers

It’s not laziness. It’s the 5 quarters only per night rule. Usually two of those girls dress varsity and COULD be needed to sub in during the varsity games. Solution: JV boys and girls on Mon and Thursday night and Varsity Girls and Boys on Tuesday and Friday nights. Why are 2 teams with 15+ girls ...

Re: 2 Quarter JV Girls Basketball Games Are Back, Along With Low Numbers

2 qtr JV games are played for the following reasons: 1: Lack of Numbers 12 or less in the HS 2: Lazy Coaches I believe if you have 6 girls you play a full JV game. Too many coaches are wanting to only play 2 qtrs so they can get out "early" and get home. If coaches have this thinking they should ge...

Doesn't your coach have to advocate for you to get votes for district teams?

Re: SOCII

It’s hard to say who plays where. I know just a few but for the most part these girls change teams frequently, especially at the upper level, for numerous reasons. I’m pretty sure not as many from Wheelersburg play at that level like o&b is saying. I would kind of like to know that though. Burg has ...

I would be so ticked if I was from Burg because of the nonsense you post. You obviously don't know as much as you think you do.

Re: SOCII

Holy cow Browns30, is that an accurate projection? West in last place. Yes. Where did west finish last season? I'm certain it was bottom 2? If going off last season where did Oak Hill finish? Pretty sure they didn't finish in the top 2. Nope, as far as i know west doesn't have a lot of talent comin...

Re: SOCII

If there was a year where Oak Hill had a chance of winning the league, it would be this upcoming season! Unfortunately, Burg is putting in the extra work and oak hill isn’t, just not enough showing up when we do have open fields. oak hills #1 pitcher returns this year, was just a freshman last seaso...

Re: Little League World Series Champs Wheelersburg

Congrats to the players, coaches and parents!!! Amazing accomplishment!! You EARNED it!!! Every kid involved in sports in wheelersburg works for it, and that's why they are successful!! I know they have a lot of girls at their field a few times each week putting in the work. It takes time and dedica...

Re: What’s the holdup on releasing the SOC all conference teams ?

Apparently some people are misunderstanding my point. I have never said that any of the players didn't deserve their awards. I never said that any kid deserved something instead another. I was speaking for the ones who put in the work, put up the numbers, and was still left out for whatever reason. ...

Re: What’s the holdup on releasing the SOC all conference teams ?

By looking at the all state list you can see who some of the best athletes are but honestly I know of a lot of players not on that list that are a lot better than some that are on there. Some of those girls not making that list are committed to D1 power 5 conference schools. But they didn't make it?...

Re: What’s the holdup on releasing the SOC all conference teams ?

Congratulations to those who won awards. With that being said saying this is an imperfect system is an understatement. To those of you who got snubbed keep digging. College coaches don’t even care about high school stats or awards because of how they can be manipulated. Hard work will pay off. I kn...

I’m really not rooting for any of them. I usually like the underdogs but the top 8 seeds made it in. I guess I would have to pick Washington, one of the pitchers on my daughters travel team is a future Huskie.

Re: What’s the holdup on releasing the SOC all conference teams ?

Great coaches teach their players there’s no “I” in team. Great players understand that and put the “we” over the “me”. Maybe that’s why Ruby and Burg didn’t get the votes because they didn’t care. They were worried about being successful as a TEAM. And they were. So what were the other coaches thi...

Re: What’s the holdup on releasing the SOC all conference teams ?

It's frustrating for these kids who work their butts off and put up the numbers and coaches give the credit to someone else.
