Most teams that win state titles have one thing in common.
They don’t beat themselves. Sometimes it takes a little luck. But most are disciplined, assignment playing, tough nose for the ball types of teams.

I watched some of the stream from last week when Coal Grove played Northmor. On their first drive, Northmor scored in 3 plays. They look to be a disciplined team, don’t make silly mistakes. The game was 22 all at the half. They held the Grove scoreless in the second half.

It’s going to take some getting used to. I just hope that the fans are more understanding towards the officials as this is new to them. Hopefully once everyone settles into the new system, the game itself will be better for all involved. It will definitely change the strategy of the game!

Shame I have to work Friday night. I would love to catch this game in person!

Barnesville has only played two teams that were above D6. One finished 1-9 , the other was 6-4. Their opponents combined record is 48-51. I still think it’s going to come down to Burg, Ironton, or Prep as the champion.

It was a pretty good matchup a couple weeks ago. Can Portsmouth get into a rhythm on offense and play defense like they did against Ironton this past Friday? I think this will be one of the games to watch this week.

Pulling for the Grove. I have no idea of what Northmor has. Their two losses on the year were close games from what I saw on Joe Eitels site. One was 40-33 against 5-5 Mapleton, the other was 32-21 against 10-0 Danville.
