This is just about a must win game for New Lex there in Region 15. It would take close to a miracle to get in the playoffs without it. John Glenn is playing some great defensive ball coming off a huge win at home. Should be a fun evening. I actually think it will be close.

New Lex is having a hard time running the ball. Sheridan has us outsized and out manned. Hopefully NL can keep it somewhat close, but I doubt it.

New Lex needs to either...upset Sheridan (unlikely)

or beat John Glenn and Philo to get in.

NL is Div 4, sometimes Div 3.

Coshocton is playing Port Clinton later this afternoon, so I will update the record as we go. This should be an interesting week 5 match up at Jim Rockwell Stadium. New Lex needs to focus on doing what New Lex does better. No magic rabbit comes out of a hat after a tough loss.

You arent the only one. New Lex is getting better. But they are a young team starting a sophmore quarterback for goodness sakes. These nights happen. Whats important is how they bounce back against Coshocton back at home next week.

Maysville 20-8

They dominated up front. It was a thumpin. New Lex had some chances to get back into it late, but Maysville made the plays they needed to make.

As a NL fan, im licking my chops at some of these future schedules.

These next 2 weeks are critical. If we get to 5-0.. we will be in the playoff picture in the 2nd half of the season with an outside chance to get in.

I think we take Maysville. But it will be closer than Morgan.

My thoughts are im looking forward to Maysville in week 4 and Coshocton and week 5. New Lex has not started 5-0 in 10 years.

I hate to call these first 3 weeks warm up games. but im getting excited about seeing this play out in the coming weeks. Maysville (week 4) and Coshocton (week 5) will be very important just before we get into the meat of our schedule.

Heres another alternate route. hit 33 at Athens and exit on state route 13. sr 13 will lead you right up through New Lex. take a left onto US 22 west bound at Somerset.

Building excitement in NL this year. New coach. new outlook. I think we are very close to having the athletes to contend. As a poster stated above, could be 1 year away. but its getting very close
