Re: SEOAL would be celebrating its 100th anniversary this year if it still existed
Given playoff success is now the gold standard of an athletic program's prowess, are conferences obsolete other than a scheduling tool? Is Ohio going to district play and scheduling inevitable ? The SEOAL in its final five years managed to make the scheduling convenience obsolete when it stubbornly...

Re: Total Media Charging Schools To Broadcast
Live streaming does have significant operational costs by a provider when done at scale. What is the fee in terms of $$$ per year that schools are being asked to pay? I think what people get wrong (it's an issue everywhere) is in the age of schools being able to run their own live-streaming operatio...

Re: Notre dame coach resigns
About all they could do at this point. Really hope ND can put together a decent season, especially for the seniors. Will also be interesting to see if the coaching position gets any more interest in the offseason this time around.* Agreed on the former. As for the bolded: it probably won’t happen. ...

Re: Notre dame coach resigns
ND will probably have to go with a current staff member this late in the game. I know Shannon is currently on staff and was a coordinator at Northwest previously, so one would think he would be a possibility. As for Davis, he quit on another team a few years back right before the season started, so...

That’s what happens when you stand behind a clown head coach: you get burned in the end, ND.

Re: Did (Hannibal) River ever complete its '25 schedule?
For a D7, River did lose to four larger playoff teams (Col. Crawford, Martins Ferry, Monroe Central, Barnesville), a combined 38-8. Made playoffs, but Pilots played one of the tougher schedules in R27. I understand that part. They just weren’t as good (not as talented, not as deep, and not as trenc...

You thought River was good last year? Interesting.MetalheadGamer87 wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 11:04 am Why is River's program in bad shape? I'd disagree. Thought it was good last few years. R27 teams, especially in the lower counties, won't play them.

I mean i'd say the teams you have highlighted are the usual suspects right. Danville & Hillsdale played in a state semi last year and are now gonna battle in the region. Don't know what each returns, Hillsdales QB was a So. but Danville is always Danville. Waterford seems to be on a great traje...

Re: OHSAA Football Playoff Structure Survey Sent To Member Schools
I’ve talked to coaches they don’t want a week off they think it’s a disadvantage. 16 is here to stay. 100% on the first part. 16 may or may not be here to stay, but byes being assigned to the top four teams by default is going to be deeply unpopular with those coaches. A punishment instead of a rew...

Re: Did (Hannibal) River ever complete its '25 schedule?
maybe just going with 9. don't know why they wouldn't challenge themselves and play Marion Local Of what use would playing the defending state champion, who just ran roughshod in week 16 to the score of 74-0, serve to a River program who is currently in such bad shape that they won’t play Ferry in ...

Re: Crooksville Job
Anything going on? I heard new coach has rarely been there & workouts are non existent? The new coach is going to have a job at the HS. A little hard for Big C to displace the current guy in that role suddenly to make way for the incoming football coach. And even harder for any high school coac...

This should be what happens. If it does there will be plenty of teams interested in joining. Waverly, Circleville, Logan Elm, Amanda-Clearcreek, Greenfield McClain, Washington CH, Fairfield Union and etc. would all be interested in this opportunity. While I don't know if CV, LE, AC or FU are good f...

Re: FAC Looking to Expand..
Rumor has it the SVC is looking to expand and add a few schools and go into large and small divisons. This makes so much sense for the smaller schools who hear after year have no shot of beating Unioto. I hope this happens, would make for a great league. This should be what happens. If it does ther...

One thing to keep in mind with the Honda discussion is there’s no guarantee Honda will be hiring employees en masse directly. The majority of plant employees in Marysville, for instance, work through a staffing firm. This is also where a lot of the supply-chain, third-party logistics and general man...
