Better view of how good they are this week vs Fairland. Piketon didn't appear to be very good Friday night. Lets go to the tape, shall we. 1st possession, Piketon 10 plays, 6 running for 23 yards, 3 for 3 passing for 37 yards, and 6 yards scramble. Minford 1st possession, 5 carries, for 70 yards (6...

Re: Football Regional Alignments

Private schools like svac posted have to declare one of their elementary schools as their feeder school, then if the student hasn't been enrolled since before they were in 7th grade they are tier 2 worth 2 add on, if they were enrolled before 7th but not that feeder school they are tier 1 for 1 add ...

Re: Football Regional Alignments

No there is a tier 0, a kid who has lived in the district since before 7th, they are zero added. Tier 1 is add one, tier 2 is add two.

Re: Football Regional Alignments

Tier 1 is a plus one, tier 2 is plus two. In your scenario, 30 is your addition to your base number.

Re: High School Football Equals Child Abuse ?? ?? ??

There are inherent risks with a lot of things in life, especially for young people, teenagers especially. We hand 16 year olds the keys to cars all the time. Our brains, especially the part that helps make good judgement, are the last to fully form! Is allowing kids to drive before 18 child abuse? T...

Re: Football Regional Alignments

Right now the player counts if they transfer after the 7th grade correct? Really not sure how they come up with that number. If a player lives outside the district border they should count no matter when they moved. Just my opinion Tier zero, have been living in district since before 7th grade, tie...

Re: Football Regional Alignments

Minford has 16, West 10, Jackson 16, and so on. 25 isn't some huge anomaly for the "area". Lol, Central Catholic's adjustment number was over 200, ASVSM was like 150 as I recall. You insinuating Burg is some recruiting magnet doesn't hold water, sorry pal a 25 CBP adjustment number is no ...

Re: Football Regional Alignments

What are the odds of all three private schools in Region 19 making the top eight? Hint: About 90% most years. My main beef is that a small town school could have their best team in a generation and they will lose to a private school having a 'good' year because of the private school's ability to re...

Re: Coaching Vacancies

Folks, the days of schools being able to pay a coach to be a study hall monitor, or some other teaching paying position with very little responsibilities is long gone! Are there schools that still do this in southeast Ohio, yes, but they are few and far between. Most schools are operating on a bare ...

Re: If your league were to add a school

If you look at the numbers, Unioto at 253 and growing yearly should move to the Frontier league (Chilli 387, Greenfield 236, Hillsboro 282, Jackson 289, Miami Trace 268 and Court House 255) and then Waverly with 228 would be a lot better fit in the SVC.

Re: If your league were to add a school

SVC- Waverly. Just makes sense. Makes sense for who? Huntington? Paint Valley? Southeastern? Waverly consistently has well over 200 boys, usually near 240 or so per year in grades 9-11. Paint Valley, Huntington, Adena, Southeastern all consistently have in the low 100's to near 140's consistently. ...

Re: Enrollment Numbers

I never said all of them but you did. Also please name all the superstars that just moved to burg solely for football. I don't think the Ohsaa releases the CB list! Seems like I struck a little guilt nerve, when you are the beneficiary of incoming talent from outside your district, you don't want a...

Re: Enrollment Numbers

You assume that every male student that moves in is for athletics. I didn't assume anything genius, I said their CP numbers were high, that's kids who played football but didn't live in the district! LOL Yes you did genius. You assume that students are moving in solely for athletics when that's far...

Re: LOCAL TEAMS AFTER OHSAA REASSIGNMENTS

It is pretty simple math fellas, if you get kids outside your feeder school, then those kids count as more. The reason Coldwater moved down, is because a bunch of D VI privates and publics moved up, and since the Ohsaa wants each division to have about the same number if more move up, they simply re...

Re: Coaching Vacancies

WOW. Maybe Slaughter can relocate at Western. Why did Miller leave? Or ZT? With Perdue leaving, I do not know if he will want that job. Word has it Kyle Miller will be helping Travis at Waverly next year. I have watched Kyle Miller a couple of times this year and I think Kyle needed to step away fo...

Re: Enrollment Numbers

Wheelersburg with the 2nd biggest CP jump among public schools in D V, who would have thought that! lol Must have had a hard time finding several other boys to get rid of to balance out the EMIS numbers to offset the CP bump!
