Re: Playoffs : D7 # 3 Trimble (9-2) vs # 2 Caldwell (10-1)

I like Caldwell in this one. Trimble is solid, but nowhere near as talented as the last few years.

I think GH is too much for River in this one. They are really, really physical.

Re: Playoffs #6 Rock Hill @ #3 Alexander

I've seen both teams. As much as I root for Rock Hill, I have to favor the Spartans at home. They are so fast. Common opponents amount to very little in the game of football. It's about matchups. I think Rock Hill could give the Spartans all they want, but Alex will be a little too much. Agreed. I ...

Re: #7 River Valley @ #2 Zane Trace

And?? River Valley 2 wins against teams with a .500 or better record, Zane Trace had 5 wins against teams .500 or better 3 coming against D4 schools. Westfall put up late scores against the backups in final game of season and Logan Elm scored 28 in 1st game of the season the other 8 games a total o...

Re: #7 River Valley @ #2 Zane Trace

Outside of Paint Valley and Zane Trace, the Scioto Valley Conference is utterly terrible. Just something to keep in mind when comparing schedules.

That being said, I still think Zane Trace is the favorite in this one, and will find a way to win in a game that is closer than many expect.

Re: Wk. 10 Power Poll

You could make the argument that Chillicothe be as high as 3. Losses to teams that are 9-0, 8-1, and 8-1. They do play some non-SEO teams, but they played a much more competitive game with Jackson than Logan did.

This week vs. 7-2 Wilmington will determine if they make the playoffs.

Re: Division V, Region 17

Burg vs. West has always been a rivalry, even in years when the records weren't close. A little trivia for you....West has more wins aginst Wheelersburg than any other opponent. Also, Drew Pasteur has West with only a 10% chance of the playoffs with a win this week. drew must be on some good juice ...

I watched Logan Elm early in the year beat Teays Valley. LE had a nice pitcher and a very strong catcher.

Re: D3 In SE Ohio 2015-2016

Some of you folks need to get out of Southeast Ohio and see some real Basketball. Want to get better, try playing some of the teams in the West-side of the state instead of playing what you think is good teams in your own backyard. If you aren't interested in SEO basketball, why do you post on here?

Athens only has 1 true basketball player and 5 football players playing basketball. Athens went to the regionals two years ago. a lot of talent moves away. Been happening since the school was started I don't know who you are referring to as your "1 true basketball player," but the best ba...

Re: Best basketball player in Southeast Ohio right now!?

Lutz is tough, and his value to the Bulldogs success cannot be overstated. With the game on the line, however, I would prefer for Mr. Burrow to have the ball in his hands! It will be very interesting to see if Athens can continue their recent success next year minus the big guys. As far as D1 potent...

Re: SVC Outlook for Upcoming Season

Kudos to UHS, for winning the Gold Ball, ZT for overcoming the loss of 4 starters from a year ago, and Piketon for battling back after a slow start. I am still scratching my head at the struggles of SE, PV, and Adena. I expected more from each. SE has a solid nucleus and good coaching, Paint Valley ...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Final

Minford blew out Chilli head to head. With Chillicothe down 2 starters, including one of the top players in the SE. With Bolte in the lineup, Chillicothe was able to push Wilmington in their last game. With Bolte, CHS went 10-4 with losses to Wilmington (#4 in D1) twice, Upper Arlington (lost in OT...
