The Bulldogs can score a lot of points in a hurry. It will not be easy. Tebow is taking some shots. They need some turnovers to get back in this.

Only a few miscues all day that I saw, but I was in the nosebleed seats. I loved the offensive playcalling in the 1st half. To hell with the dive play, run wide and throw deep. Use the RB speed to get around the ends. I wish they had stuck with that late in the game when UGA's defense was exhausted. It was at least 85 degrees again today. I also was screaming for a blitz on D. We never even touched JoeCox in the first qtr. Finally we brought it and got some sacks and 4 picks. Tebow was great today, made some great audible calls. He got the tough yards and UGA fans hate him, haha. Riley Cooper had another one handed TD catch, not bad for a baseball player. Hernandez dragged UGA's defense 12 yards for a first down on 3rd and about 15. On the Spikes pick 6 final TD, he said postgame he knew the play before UGA snapped the ball. Our kicker Sturgis is a soph. We also have a senior from last year, Phillips, but his kicking suffered a little in early season from being in 1st semester of law school.

Im with you on the playcalling...Also, they didnt go no huddle really whatsoever...I also think the I-formation can solve a lot of the red zone woes...All in all, I was impressed with the Gators today...Completely.

Let me rephrase that...I was completely impressed with the direction the offense is headed...The playcalling was so much better and Tebow finally looked like Tebow...The defense played a good game but still gave up 121 rushing yards. Still some work to be done, but this is a championship team. I want to see a thorough dismantling of Vandy next week.

:-D the refs had their hands full trying to control all the cheap shots. One of the dirtiest games I've ever seen on either side, mostly Uga because they are the ones always losing. Spikes had to fight fire with fire. Got his helmet ripped off his head twice. First time was the opening series!
I mean it, those Uga fans HATE Tebow. They were yelling for the leg humpers to "break his legs!" ; 'Hit him in the head!, Hit him late, its worth it !, If ya can't beat him, HURT him!' ...I heard none of that from Ark. or even Tenn fans.

There is an exhibit in Jacksonville, The Florida Georgia Hall of Fame. Every year they induct a couple guys from each school. This year Lawrence Wright, #4 db on the '96 Champs was honored. He is a great guy.

Looks like Spikes got caught for dirty play but only to be suspended for the first half against Vandy. Wow that will really effect the game. It sure will make players think about having to miss part of a game against a team they should blow out. Wonder if it would had been against a tougher team would it have been for a series.

The suspension was handed down by the coach. No suspension was warranted by the conference although the conference accepted the suspension. I feel the play should've deserved a more severe penalty but the whole game was full of dirty hits and bad plays so i'm not so sure that was the only play that needed a suspension. If you are going to suspend Brandon then I would feel a game would be sufficient though, he had been hurt anyway so the game against Vanderbilt should help and make certain that he is 100%. So if we are handily winning the game I feel like he may not take many snaps except to keep in "game shape" form.

This is a joke, just shows that the SEC doesn't care about sportsmanship just championship, I really hope whoever they play in the national title game can really put it on them, Florida hasn't looked good all year and you have to believe that if a team like Texas or even Oregon could give it to Florida.

How would Ohio State have handled it? Just curious. I remember they suspended Robert Reynolds for a game following his choking of Jim Sorgi and I believe that incident was worse than this one. Spikes was retaliating with his eye gouge....Im not defending him because it was boneheaded and classless, but put it into context...The kid did it to him earlier in the game, so Spikes paid him back when he could. I feel a game would have been warranted, but if they suspended him for the game, everyone would be saying "Its just Vandy anyway...Not like this suspension will matter."

No one mentioned OSU except you. You compare choking someone to going after someone's eyes then even mention the childish retort he did it to me first. Even if you do not condone it but you try to put it into context. It was wrong period. Spikes put his fingers inside the facemask and aggressively tried to inflict pain or possible permanent damage to the Georgia player.
The Big 10 this year has suspended players a game for their actions on the field that was not even as close to this by Spikes. This also comes after what the media has been talking about how Florida and Alabama are treated by officals during their games. So the 1/2 game against Vandy is so tough. The SEC is not helping themselves by agreeing to this half game and they will lose more across the nation with voters because of their actions/inactions.

Big 10 suspended players because the coaches didn't do anything about it ! Rich Rod played it off w/ Mouton and Tressell whined about Coleman's game off.
Why are no Uga players suspended ? They had many more dirty cheap shots than Florida. I've just finished watching the 3rd version of the game, CSS (UGA), CBS, and Sunsports. Read my post from Sunday, it was a dirty game.
How many times do you let someone sucker punch you before you hit back ?
Why wasn't Richt crying about this Sat. or Sunday ? Because he knows his boys started it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cERuyek02wA

Spikes had his helmet ripped off the first defensive series of the game. This was the 2nd or 3rd time. I'll give benefit of the doubt that the eye poke could have been unintentional, but they went after his helmet.

Georgia running back Washaun Ealey says he doesn't think Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes should be suspended for apparently trying to gouge Ealey's eyes in Saturday's game.

Amen Corner, If someone would have done that to tebone, they would have been suspended for the rest of year!!!!!
FAIL ^^^
what about the cheap shot on Tebow in my last post ? That guy didn't even get a 15 yd. flag.

Keep making up excuses is why the SEC is losing respect around the country.
Why would Ealey say anything different to the media since he will be playing Florida again next year? Some people have no reason to air everything in the media like some SEC coaches do.

Spikes play was not a football move as was Coleman's. Coleman was a hustle play trying to stop a moving player. Tressel did complain and voice his opinion because the Big 10 said Coleman did it with intent. With no evidence to support that claim. Mouton's play did anyone actually think that punch had any effect on the other player???

If the players during the game kept doing dirty plays that is on both coaches for allowing their players to continue this and the officials for not penalizing the players.

Coleman gets suspended for a game for a "Helmet to Helmet" tackle but Spikes tried to rip a guys eyes out of his socket intentionally & gets suspended for half a game. Something is wrong here.

First off, I am not a Buckeye fan so I could care less how they would handle it, the point being Urban Meyer had the chance to show that he is a hard nose coach who wants to not only win but build a team based with character not thugs.

Coach Meyer, did you tap spikes on the wrist with a rulerr like my ole kindergarten teacher used to do?Are you kidding me ahalf suspension against Vandy. Why hasn't the sec jumped in and stepped up to the plateand do the right thing. That football team should have more unsportsmanlike penalties for late hits and excessive celebration thanany team in college football. No sec offical is going to step on Urban Meyer. Untill someone does Spikes will continue to get away with whatever he wants.
