You my friend, are a perfect example of why not many respect Vinton County. Most sports fans do respect the team members, but not the handful of "goofs " like you on this site. Most posters know who you are and everyone realizes to take what you say with a grain of salt(because of the source). This means not many people think you are very smart. Most fans of VC are proud of their team and are respective to other teams and fans. But you ,and a few others are very arrogant, obnoxious, and even ignorant, and this is a view shared by most posters on this site. Kenny, what have you ever done beside bash other teams and fans? Have you ever done anything besides ride the coattails of others to have any success that you have had in your little pathetic world. You are not what this site is supposed to be about. Could you please just go away and do everyone a favor, including the players and good fans of VC. With that being said, and that needed to be said and I believe even the posters of VC will agree with that -GO TVC - and good health to all during this upcoming season.

Highspeed, I will be the first to say that Kenny seems to be a tool, but his or her passion is admirable. Moreover, I am sure that there have been a few Wellston posters who have crossed the lines of the decency. It seems that when you are on the wrong side of the posts, well, your hypocrisy drips from your brow like sweat. So, let those without sin cast the first stone.

Kenny, I will post the schedule later.

I agree with Dundas and Highspeed. Kenny, I appreciate your rooting for VC and Coach Combs, but you need to let it go the whole Wellston thing go. Its over.

As far as the VC's season goes, who knows. VC only lost Jake Prater & Brandon Clark from last year's squad. With Grillo, Lawhead, Guthrie, Allen, Reed, Ward and Thompson all coming back(and some sleepers like Batey & Breniser).....VC might be pretty tough. They'll be pretty tough from the outside but might need some muscle down low. As a district, VC really needs to start embracing the concept of a strength coach.

Match up wise, I think Athens and Alex might be real tough for the Vikes to repeat again. I know Combs and his staff will get focused and get the kids ready for another great season. Good Luck Vikes!

VC is the favorite IMO to win the TVC Ohio yet again..... To be the man you gotta beat the man

Ty, you are absolutely right, it is over. However, I don't think Kenny is of normal intelligence to be discerning with matters of the past. I would imagine that Kenny is a sociological wonder, a Vinton County stereotype if you will and prone to unintelligible and illogical outbursts.

How many years has VC won the league here lately? Has it been 5 years in a row? Thank You.

VC would have to be the favorite to win the Ohio again, with Athens and Alex batttling it out for 2nd. VC has won over 30 straight TVC contests and i see them adding to that streak this year. Hawkeye, can you look up what is the record for most consecutive league wins? If Vc doesn't have it I would think they are really close.

Ball Hound, as far as I know, there never has been a TVC team go undefeated more than consecutive seasons, until Vinton County. The Vikings have been undefeated for the past three seasons, winning the last 35 straight. Of course this is a little out my area, I can account for Vinton County's wins, but I can not for every other teams victories in the TVC. I am sure that great teams of Meigs in the mid-80's, or Fed Hock or Wellston of the early-90's, or Belpre of the late-90's went undefeated.

Has anyone heard if the Remy kid is going to play Varsity this year? I know from a few sources that he did really well this summer.

Kenny....Shut Up!!

I don't even know if Coach Combs & his staff have even addressed who is playing where/cuts, etc....But after seeing LB play this summer, I'd be inclined to think this kid might see some decent minutes on the varsity level before the end of the year. He's got a bunch of potential....I hope he continues to work hard.

Here is VC's pre season schedule. Don't know a lot of details on how this morning's scrimmage went with Unioto & Southern. I know Oak Hill was suppose to be part of this, but due to their football playoffs, they got Southern to come in.

Sat Nov 14th Home vs Unioto and Southern 9AM
Thur Nov 19th @Harvest Prep/Westfall 5PM
Fri Nov 20th Home vs Warren-Foundation Game
Wed Nov 25th @River Valley/Adena 11AM
Sat Nov 28th Home vs Columbus Academy and Fairland

The Vikings looked solid, some rust, but Coach Combs and Coach Miller is knocking it off.

Results in from VC's scrimmage tonight at Columbus Harvest Prep with Westfall:

QTR 1 VC 9- WF 8
QTR 2 VC 5- HP 12
QTR 3 VC 13-WF10
QTR4 VC 12-HP8
QTR5 VC 13-WF15
QTR6 VC 12-HP12
QTR7 VC 18-WF8

Pretty good showing from The Vikes. And they got Warren Local coming to McArthur tomorrow night for the Foundation Game.

I believe it begins with the JV's tipping off at 6 PM, and yes each game is four quarters. This is an exhibition, but it will have the look and feel of a regular game.

Southern didnt make the playoffs. Oak Hill was suppose to take part in the scrimmage, but they made the playoffs and couldnt participate.

Hey Kinny, if you know so darn much why don't you apply for the football coaching job? Same for you Gilligan.... you want to throw a jab at coach Yates by putting "Wolford opens weight room" If you guys think you have all the answers then you apply. It is easy to bash a coach when you have no idea what it takes to be one. The hours you put in... the amount of time away from your family... The thing I really do not get is what do the people from VC except? When have we ever been this powerhouse that could beat any team that we face. If you look back at who we played in the past, it wasn't like we were playing all of these playoff caliber teams. In the late 80's and early 90's we were winning, but we were playing the schools from the hocking division of the TVC. At VC we will get a group that can compete with any team from southeastern ohio every 5 years or so and I do not care who the coach is. You could have had Lombardi coaching these kids and you would not have won any more games... IT IS WHAT IT IS and there is not much a coach can do about it.
