Warren is loaded with talent but has no coach at this moment. With a capable leader these girls could easily win the league.

GAHS returns almost their entire team from the SEOAL championship season of last spring.

A lot of depth at every position.

Amy Noe returns for her fourth year in the circle. Heather Ward got several starts last year as a freshman and had a great first year. I understand we have will have a freshman moving up who can chuck the rock as well.

We have two catchers; either of whom could start for just about any other team in the league.

The last three years the DOC has come down to Marietta over GAHS, Logan over GAHS (1-0 in 8 inn), and GAHS over Marietta last spring. The one constant has been GAHS.

Very much looking forward to next spring and seeing the Angels attempt to improve on their 39 wins of the past two seasons.

If I had to predict an order of finish this far in advance it would look something like this:

1- GAHS
2- Warren
3- Marietta
4- Logan
5- Jackson
6- Ironton
7- Portsmouth (but #s 5-7 could rise or fall anywhere in this range)
8- Chillicothe

Im going GAHS to repeat. Maybe not even close. Last years Seniors left a legacy and lasting impression on this years returning team. IMO, the best coach not just in the league but maybe all of southern OHIO. I look for bigger and better things from this group of Angels. Good luck and GO BLUE!

IMO, I think that everyone in the SEOAL is getting better. Each school has been improving each year. Chilli is one that I can say is improving a lot, thanks to their new coach last year! They have come a long way! keep it up girls. Portsmouth is a good team too, they have also been improving. I-town has a lot of good players, just need to put some things together! Jackson, young team, they have a talent, but it will take time but I believe that they will be good. I do not know a lot about the north side of things, except for Marietta and Warren (due to the fact that i have played with a lot of those girls during summer ball). I look for Marietta to still be good, they lost an awesome pitcher and someone is going to have to step up and fill in her shoes. Marietta is a good hitting team! They have good coaches that know what they are doing!!! Warren, they lost a lot of good seniors last year, but they still have a lot of girls that can hit the ball! I look for them to win the north. Over all i have saved the best for last IMO! Gallia has a lot of returning players and not to forgot an awesome coaching staff who really puts a lot into the Bue Angel team! They lost 4 seniors last year, but i still believe that they will be the team to beat! Senior Amy Noe is back in the circle with also sharing time with soph Heather Ward. They also have a whole returning infield minus one of the seniors, and in the outfield they have a lot of talent out there as well, minus 3 of the seniors of last year. As a whole i think that Gallia will come on top again! I am a little biased because I was a Blue Angel and I'm always going to be cheering them on!!! They have came a long way since my freshmen year and I am so proud to say that I was Blue Angel! Good luck to all the SEOAL teams and I wish you all the best of luck in the tourny too! Go represent the SEOAL and lets show them how we play softball! Go BLUE ANGELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warren does have talent and alot of great kids, but as of right now... no coach and tons of drama.

Yes lots of talent, yes unofficially they have a great coaching staff, no this staff won't allow the drama. They will be fine.

The SEOAL should be very good this year from top to bottom. Being around Chillicothe Softball I have watched the program grow leaps and bounds from two years ago. The new coach (Phillips) has his girls believing in themselves and that hard work will finally pay dividends. They graduated 5 seniors that were leftovers from a horrible regime. This year they will probably start one senior, two juniors, 4 sophomores and 2 freshmen. I look for several wins as the pitching has been working VERY hard in getting better. Watch out for the Webb girl (the pitcher) and the Bullion (sp?) girls who is a freshmen pitcher. Go get em girls!!
