If the Broker gets his way, the schedule may be weak, but the wins will be aplenty. With the move in of a few key players this could be his year to finally get that varsity league title monkey of his back. A lot prolly depends on who the umpires are for the game in Reedsville.

Just my thoughts guys!

With any coaching at all, Trimble should go undefeated this season.

Just my thoughts guys!

I doubt if they go undefeated, but if Big Mike keeps calling the shots like he started to late last season they will be just fine. Once he took over the mistakes that were made early in the season were nearly all erased.

If Trimble does the right thing with the coaching situation they will be just fine. If they don't, well lets just say good luck finding a field to play on. ;-) Big Mike won't be calling any shots, nor was he last year. He knows his place, and he does well when he stays in it.

Trust me, Big Mike calls the shots. If he was a school employee he would have the job.

Since you probably gonna run Big Mike off, are you at least keeping the same guys doing the JV? Those guys forgot more about softball than any other coaches in the system.

After some heavy soul searching it has been decided that the Broken will have some competition this year in way of some more applicants.

You have Mr. Nulls' full endorsement, as does the other person, to apply for the position if that is your intent. However it will surely prove to be a hapless effort in the end. After all, Mr. Null owns the field that they compete on. Therefore, Mr. Null feels confident that the job is his. If not, Mr. Null says good luck finding a place to play. Maybe the Little Italy field can be restored?

Did some checkin this morning there Broken and the field is on school property so the school owns the field. So the team will play on the school field no matter who the coach is and the field dont flood when Sundy Creeck comes up so no more using that as an excuse to cancel games. I think the more applications for the job the better that way we can be sure to get someone good that aint going to quit when their kid graduates either. To much of that happened in the past. Jus sayin.

HD if you think you are prying that job out of the death grip Nullsdaq has on it you are barking up the wrong tree there hot shot. I am sure you have good intentions but the Borker will fight to his death to keep that job.

Yes with home town umps Eastern won easily in Reedsville. Not to mention that our ass-igner hired one of the same umps up here. That guy must be 70 years old, and he use to coach at Eastern also. You see, our ass-igner doesn't care if the umps are any good. He just gets the first person he can find. Hopefully all that will be different this year with the new league assigner in place by Spring I have been told.

There isn't a worse excuse than blaming the umpires

That my friend, is the biggest reason the umpires around here are as bad as they are. Anyone who complains about the bad umpiring is chastised and called a whiner. If people would admit, even the winners, that some of these guys are terrible we might get a change and get some of these guys who can hardly walk, let alone umpire, out of the game. But no, anytime one of those guys cheats or is just plain bad no one is allowed to say anything without being ridiculed. That is also a reason why we see the same umps every time we go to Eastern. As bad and one sided as they are, you don't dest say anything lest you be called a whiner. Hopefully the new assigner will make a huge difference. I have heard that the person will be at games evaluating the umpires too. I say that is the best thing that could happen.

Sometimes a change is needed. Now as far as the basketball job at THS a change made them worse. But a change may work for softball. I wonder what will become of the field dual if a change is in fact made?

A change is needed and the field at the school will be used no matter who the coach is. The school owns the field. We will know very soon if the school has winning in mind for this season, or same ole, same ole.

You go to any school and you will most likely see the same umpires there just about every time. I just don't see too many umpires going into a game thinking, "Man I feel like screwing the other team today". That is ridiculous

They wont have to cheat Trimble this year. The coaching will be bad enuff that cheating will not be necessary.

Instead of you girls crying about the coach on here, get some guts and tell the coach face to face.

The girls did express to the athletic director and principal that they wanted a coaching change. In the end it didn't make a difference. Seems the administration is too afraid of stepping on "The Broker's" toes since he "owns" the field.

How does the coach own the field? Are they playing on his property? Did he build a softball field in his back yard or what? Someone please let me in this.

He does not own the field. THe school owns the field, and the property it is built on. They are just not smart enuff to figure that out. How would you like to be hired only because the school is scared you wont let them use the field? What a crock of shi*.

No thanks juvy is what I would tell him if he did ask me to coach like you suggested. Cuz I say let him sink his own ship with no one else to blame. I am sure the job will be open again next year.
